A leader in the security belt was killed in Abyan by al-Qaeda attack

A leader in the security belt in Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen, was killed on Friday and a number of his escorts in an al-Qaeda attack.


Local sources for the "ALmasdar online" said that the commander of the rapid intervention forces in the security belt, al-Mahfad district of Abyan Governorate, Jamal Lakmah, was killed along with several of his escorts in an attack by al-Qaeda operatives.


The attack occurred near a mosque in the city of Mahfad, the source said.


According to our sources, he also killed his brother, "Saud Lskmsh ", as well as several of his escorts, while one of the al-Qaeda operatives was killed during the attack.
